To preserve and keep the old car hobby going forward for the present and the upcoming generations.
"Dedicated to the Preservation and Enjoyment of Antique, Classic, and Special Interest Ford Products"
We are very active & always encourage our Members to drive their cars; that is what they were made for, and we do have good turnouts. Every Month an event is scheduled, be it a Garage Tour, Cruise to Nowhere, Tune-up & Tube Steaks or a Mystery Trip. We Attend Christmas Parades, Fourth of July Parades, Memorial Day, Founders' Days, and any other times we are called on to display our cars at civic functions. We also volunteer at different nursing homes and spread cheer to those who need it.
If You have a special event or opening and wish to have one or more of our cars to be at that event please contact the president to make arrangements.
After 35 years of service on our Board Tony Spaich has decided to step down from his position on the Board but we are thankful that he has agreed to continue maintaining our membership records. We are also thankful for all that Tony has done for the preservation of our club and we look forward to his continued service. As of this writing we have 70 members.
Furthermore I am pleased to announce that at our June 8, 2022 Board meeting Rick Klotz was appointed to our Board.
Now that year 2022 is well underway I am pleased to report that despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic our club has continued to have our monthly breakfast membership meetings in Lake Worth; Lake Clarke Shores Holiday Parade where our club was awarded a Best In Show plaque; New Year’s Day get together with the Palm Breach A’s; our Annual Judging Event and Awards Banquet; Sweet Corn Fiesta at the South Florida Fairgrounds as well as many other off-site events throughout the year. Photos taken at these events are posted on our club website for all to enjoy. Furthermore we have several club events coming up which I hope will also be well-received by our members:
June 19, 2022 Father’s Day Mizner Car Show
July 2, 2022 Independence Day get together with the Palm Beach A’s at Ford’s Garage Restaurant in Wellington
September 17, 2022 Model A Day celebration with the Palm Beach A’s at the Waterway Café in Palm Beach Gardens
We are also working on an Octoberfest BBQ picnic event as well as another weekend get away with the Palm Beach A’s. I and other Board members have been speaking with members of the Palm Beach A’s in order to coordinate mutual events throughout the year. We have discussed having events such as picnics and judging shows for both of our clubs as well as other possible events of interest to both clubs.
We will keep you posted via our website and emails as items unfold.
At a recent meeting the membership voted to purchase coffee mugs with the club logo imprinted on both sides of the mugs. I am pleased to report that we received the shipment of mugs and they are available for distribution at our meetings free of charge for each paid membership. Additional mugs are available for purchase at $5 each.
On a more serious note it is imperative that I emphasize the importance of member participation in the planning and organizing of future club events. I am hopeful that as a club we will all rise to the challenge.
Warmest Regards, Stuart Vogel President
The Gold Coast Region of M.A.R.C., Gold Coast Region Model A Restorers Club, was started in 1966 through the efforts of 6 Model A owners.
In a short while they attracted a sizeable group of people who owned Model A Fords. They came from Ft. Lauderdale, Plantation, Davie, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and many areas in this region of Florida.
Since that small beginning we now average a membership of 75 families.
You don't have to own a Model A to be a member.
We met for 40 years at 8:00 pm every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Frigemobile Corp., which was owned by the Late Denton McElroy who was one of the Charter Members.
We now meet the 2nd Saturday for a breakfast meeting at 11AM at The Gourmet Deli House, 7117 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth, FL 33467
Club officers include a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, plus board members who may serve as long as they are re-elected.
All our welcome to attend!
